Job Role:

Product Managers are the CEOs of their products and are responsible for defining, prioritizing, planning and driving the execution of the vision for their product lines. Product Managers must possess business acumen as well as engineering wherewithal to be able to strategize, drive and bring their product to market. Product Managers must work extensively with customers while working cross functionally with Product Marketing, Engineering, Sales, Corporate Marketing and Alliance Partners to successfully prioritize features and develop the products that our customers need.

VMware is looking for a Product Manager to define and launch VMware's SaaS Growth Platform capabilities. In this role, you’ll create innovative solutions and solve complex problems.

 Responsibilities:

  • Develop, champion and execute SaaS commerce platform vision, strategy and roadmap in support of organizations goals and objectives
  • Identify new opportunities and improvements by leveraging competitive analysis, leading SaaS practices, and customer/market research
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, user experience and engineering teams during discovery to assess value, usability and feasibility of commerce capabilities
  • Develop short, mid and long-term reporting and and analytics capability roadmap in partnership with service owners
  • Write clear, concise documentation of planned and delivered features and help translate requirements and stories into engineering specifications

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems or related field
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Exemplary skills in creative problem solving
  • A standout colleague with passion, initiative, and leadership ability

Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge of public cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP or Azure
  • Prior experience in SaaS commerce, billing pricing, analytics and monitoring
  • Technical background in enterprise platforms, datacenter, and/or applications software space preferred
