General description:  Work within the HR team which manages the establishment of new legal entities globally.  Lead an extended HR team (benefits, compensation, HRIS, HR Operations, and HR Business Partners) through the set-up of HR programs for each new legal entity set-up.  Ensure a consistent approach to legal entity set-up and employee offerings that align to VMware’s employee value proposition.  Manage and track project deliverables of a global HR team.  Create program and process documentation and implement improvements. Partner with key stakeholders in various organizations that support new legal entities.  Ensure a positive employee experience that aligns to local country legal requirements and VMware’s culture.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Project Manager for HR Legal Entity Enablement
  • Develop project plans
  • Track, monitor, report, participate in the entire cycle of legal entity projects
  • Maintain program-wide documentation to planning and procedures
  • Create reports, presentations, analyze  data, complete templates, respond to requests for information
  • Be the HR point of contact for project communications
  • Partner with HR functions – client facing HR Business Partners, Compensation, HR operations, corporate HR, benefits, HR service center, HRIS, HRLT, and others
  • Complete post-program reviews, provide feedback and required needs for future projects
  • Manage stakeholders
  • Work with cross functional partners, including legal and finance

Skills and experience:

  • 10+ Years experience in global human resources
  • 10+ Years experience in project management
  • Understanding of country variances in labor laws a plus
  • Must be adept at quickly assessing and changing plans/priorities, and working simultaneously on numerous projects
  • Experience leading/managing large scale projects and programs
  • Must be extremely well-organized with attention to detail
  • Ability to think in terms of broader business implications, including tactical, strategic, and enterprise dependencies, with an awareness of the up/downstream requirements of HR
  • Demonstrated track record of tackling complex business problems and creating viable solutions
  • Must work well in small and large group environments
  • Capability to facilitate effectively
  • Ability to work in project details, and turn that into a high level overview for a broad/executive audience 
  • Breadth across the corporate enterprise with the ability to connect the dots between functions and processes
  • Expert level competence with MS PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook
  • Possess excellent verbal and writing skills
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally

Education & Certifications

  • PMP preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
