Senior HRIS Consultant - Reporting and Analytics

HR Reporting and Analytics Consultant (70% of time):

  • Design, program, document, and maintain reports and dashboards using data from multiple systems such as Workday, Tableau, Peoplefluent and E*Trade
  • Educate and promote self-service reporting functionality with end users by utilizing various communication and training methodologies
  • Support the design, testing and implementation of various dashboards in Tableau by partnering closely with the HR Business Insights team
  • Take the lead in governing the use of HR data across the enterprise, including within the enterprise data warehouse by partnering with the Enterprise Data Analytics team in conducting analysis and reviews and validating usage for appropriateness
  • Facilitate the definition of ROI processes and key metrics in support of HR programs
  • Develop, recommend, and implement policies on reporting standards
  • Proactively apply analytical and research skills to monitor trends and elevate issues due to data variances
  • Perform industry research on benchmark trends and incorporate into dashboards
  • Maintain and deliver reports within specified COE portfolios (e.g. Recruiting, Benefits, etc.)
  • Define and deliver reporting and data analysis for annual HR Programs; provide oversight where necessary for basic report creation by other HRIS functional groups
  • Review and assist in preparing business cases tied to new metrics and report development
  • Determine what data should be selected and evaluated to address and track various business issues
  • Manage confidentiality of data by following established security/confidentiality standards
  • Take ownership of and ensure integrity of HRIS data; troubleshoot irregularities; partner with other HRIS teams to research, correct discrepancies, and ensure compliance
  • Serve as customer representative when needed for any Workday Design Partner groups or Early Adopter programs
  • Actively participate in Workday Community by contributing to content, voting on Brainstorms, etc.

HR Projects (30% of time):  

  • Participate and lead projects as defined by leadership team  
  • Liaison and develop relationships with various business functions such as Finance, EDA, Legal, IT, etc. in order to help drive consistency in the usage of HR data in various business metrics
  • Support and understand new functionality and features within Workday by providing user acceptance testing during system upgrades and deployments
  • Collaborate with global HR/HRIS team members to ensure system usage consistency across regions
  • Escalate process change requests, system enhancements or any other major resource requests to HRIS leadership team for prioritization
  • Partner with other COE teams in delivering reporting support for HR Programs within the region
  • Review and assess impact to reporting based on functional changes being proposed within Workday

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, or related areas required; MBA or MS a plus
  • 8+ years reporting experience – HR/HRIS, Reporting, Metrics, Analysis or similar
  • Strong understanding of Workday or other HCM systems with a focus on report development
  • Experience using Workday reporting tools (e.g. Report Writer required; Prism preferred)
  • Experience using BI tools such as Tableau and familiarity with enterprise data warehouse infrastructure
  • Candidate must be a self-starter who possesses strong customer focus, command skills, comfortable implementing change, and dealing with ambiguity
  • Advanced analytical, problem solving and organization skills
  • Advanced Excel including complex formula and macro creation required
  • Good project management experience
  • Ability to lead processes and projects independently with minimum direction provided by leader
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong relationship building skills in order to acquire trust of business partners
  • Ability to manage change effectively while being mindful of technology, business processes, and systems implications
  • Must exhibit strong security and confidentiality practices
  • Must thrive in a fast-paced environment where multi-tasking and prioritizing is necessary
